About Black Flare
Black Flare is a podcast where we play Delta Green, a Lovecraftian conspiracy horror roleplaying game set in the modern day. An atmospheric and suspenseful story unravels through improvised group storytelling, with (largely character-based) humor interspersed. The setting is fictional, but the players are just as thrilled and afraid as you, the listener.
Our first season takes place at Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska, in the year 2006. This mission is based on an original Scenario created by Bird Bailey, with additions by the handler, Arin, and our executive producer, Caleb.
Our character players are completely new to the Delta Green system and all its secrets. Arin and Caleb pull the strings and are well versed in the Delta Green lore.
Experience with any tabletop roleplaying games need not be required to enjoy the podcast, and the rules of the game are explained to the audience whenever relevant over the course of the series. For further information, check out Episode Zero, an optional explainer episode.
Additionally, Black Flare is fully scored by Andy Gryc, and the dark ambient soundtrack is available now!
Black Flare publishes every other week, and is available wherever you may find your podcasts.

Caleb Genheimer he/him
I grew up homeschooled, and at university, got my BFA in Film and Art. I currently work as a custom picture framer, and also freelance as a 1st AC in our local film industry. I’ve always loved stories, whether that be books, theater, movies, or playing make-believe in the back yard with my siblings. Black Flare is my way of doing collaborative storytelling on a budget. It’s truly a group effort. This podcast exists only as a sum of its parts: the awesome other people here that I am lucky enough to create alongside.
Kimmy Genheimer she/her
Hi! My name is Kimmy. In my free time I enjoy thrifting, crafting and other fun activities with friends and family.
I graduated with a bachelors degree of arts in theatre. I am fairly new to TTRPG. The only other group game I’ve done is DND, but I’ve really enjoyed the real life aspect of Delta Green. I feel like my theatre background helps with thinking on the spot, having improvisation skills… I would hope it helps move the story forward.
I got roped into this by the producer, Caleb, who also happens to be my husband (not sure if that was ever mentioned haha)
It’s been a delight to see how the story develops and unfolds with my friends!
Arlo Siemsen he/him
I am a software engineer who likes building things. I love seeing how technology can be used in new ways to solve problems. I grew up homeschooled and received a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
Delta Green is a way for me to let my imagination run wild with ideas and experiences that I'd likely enjoy in real life. Well... maybe not all of it.
Tiger Theobald they/them
I'm Tiger! I've been playing TTRPGs since late 2019. Making and playing characters is probably my favorite thing. I have about a million other hobbies too, but I'm, like, especially interested in characters.
I have a website: Tiger Theobald Land
It probably won't elucidate much about who I am or what I do, sorry!
Isaac Theobald he/him
I'm a glass art studio technician and instructor, and an "artist." I've been regularly GMing and playing (mostly GMing) TTRPGs since 2019. Like all the other players, I have little to no exposure to Delta Green or the surrounding genera other than through the show.
If you're interested in seeing glass related stuff, you can easily find me on Instagram or Facebook, where I will almost certainly take weeks to respond to any interaction. I also maintain an Etsy store.

Andy Gryc he/him
Veteran music maker and devoted game master, who’s been recently having a blast combining the two. Lackadaisical vegan but committed vegetarian. Hard to get going on something, and hard to stop doing it once I’ve started. Relentlessly positive and inspired by everything. Proud cat dad with a love for all animals (mosquitos excepted). Started programming young since a kid’s budget couldn’t afford video games. Have both failed and succeeded at love. Just your average human, thrilled to have been invited to the Black Flare party.
